Acceptable Use Policy

Rules designed to keep eSigner and its users safe.

Effective date: September 30, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to every use of eSigner. It protects signing participants, customers, the Service, and the broader internet community. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms of Service.

1. Use eSigner for legitimate transactions

You may use eSigner to prepare and complete lawful business and personal agreements. Senders must have a legitimate reason to contact each recipient and must accurately identify themselves and the purpose of the request.

2. Prohibited content and conduct

You may not use the Service to:

  • Violate applicable law, regulation, court order, or third-party rights.
  • Send unsolicited marketing, spam, chain letters, or messages to purchased or scraped lists.
  • Impersonate another person or organization, forge authority, or misrepresent a document’s source or purpose.
  • Facilitate fraud, phishing, identity theft, deceptive practices, money laundering, or other financial crime.
  • Upload malware or content designed to damage, disrupt, monitor, or gain unauthorized access to systems or data.
  • Transmit unlawful, threatening, harassing, exploitative, defamatory, or discriminatory content.
  • Infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or contractual rights.
  • Collect highly sensitive information unless you are authorized to do so and have applied appropriate safeguards.
  • Probe, scan, overload, reverse engineer, bypass, or interfere with Service security or usage limits.
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide unauthorized access to the Service.

3. Recipient protection

Do not pressure a recipient to sign, hide material terms, or use misleading subject lines or sender names. Honor applicable requests to stop communications. If a document was sent to the wrong recipient, cancel it promptly and contact support if assistance is needed.

4. Security responsibilities

Keep credentials confidential, use unique passwords, maintain secure devices, and grant team access only to authorized individuals. Do not share signing links publicly or attempt to access documents not intended for you.

5. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and remove content, restrict sending, suspend accounts, preserve evidence, or report conduct to affected parties or authorities when appropriate. We consider context, severity, history, and risk when taking action.

6. Reporting abuse

Report suspected phishing, fraud, abusive signature requests, or security issues to abuse@esigner.ai. Include the sender, subject, approximate time, and relevant envelope information, but do not email confidential document contents unless requested through a secure channel.
